CO-MANAGEMENT FOR SURGERIES INCLUDING PRK, CATARACTS, AND LASIK
Dr. Chris Jackman and his associates at Anna Eyecare in Anna, Texas, offer co-management for corrective eye surgeries, but what does that mean?
Co-management is a partnership with the physician performing your procedure. Our association with the surgeon keeps us aware of the latest options available for the correction of eye conditions. By keeping up to date on current advances, our practice is better able to educate and recommend treatment based on symptoms and examination results. The patient is then better prepared for their interaction with the surgeon, and they understand the different options available to them before the surgery referral.
Our relationship with the patient allows us to recommend procedures that would provide the most benefit and rule out other procedures, as well as determine the best surgeon available for your eye care.
Co-management also means that you resume your follow-up care in our office immediately after surgery. Follow-up appointments will be scheduled in our office as soon as one day following the procedure.
Our staff works with the surgeon’s staff with timely communication to keep both offices aware of all aspects of treatment and recovery. We have a working association with different surgeons to include many procedures, such as PRK, LASIK, and cataract surgery.
